The fall colors in CA just never get like this...

2. I hope she does too.
I missed the season changes, when we lived in San Diego.

5. Vacationing in Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula Sept. 8-15
Too early for much color but definitely after the summer season. New York Times had ANOTHER article on the Leelanau area today; third in two months. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/31/travel/escapes/31havens.html?em&ex=1188705600&en=71062adcd2a52c05&ei=5087%0A

First article in July was an extensive one on the wineries, second in August was on Iron Chef Mario Batali's place (he could have a place anywhere, and chose there). Now this. Pretty soon everyone will figure out how wonderful it is before I can retire there in five years.

Stay away. Ignore those glacier-carved rolling hills and breathtaking views of Lake Michigan on one side and Grand Traverse Bay on the other. And autumn? Forget it.

6. Those are fantastic!
:)

Even the geese. Canada Snow Geese are rather vicious creatures, especially when they have young ones about. I used to be a runner and the adult geese would literally chase me, nipping at my heels, to keep me away from their young.

It got over 100 here today. There appears to be no end in sight to this heat, so just looking at those photos cooled me down!

9. Glad it helped you cool down.
Do I need to post some snowy shots too?
