What was the first concert you ever went to? |
|
For me, it was Emerson, Lake and Palmer in 1976. It was also the first time I ever did acid. :)

I remember the house lights going down and the stage lights coming up. Then the band opened with Welcome Back My Friends and I started peaking.
The next several years were like that. Good times, though. :)

The year before he died. He was fat but he put on a hell of a show - seriously one of the best I've ever seen. And I'm not really an Elvis fan. He was a fine showman, though.

|
opening act was Blood, Sweat, and Tears. 1968.
Right after both "Cheap Thrills" and the second BST album came out.
Her first national tour, the 13,000 seat Cleveland Public Auditorium was only 1/3 full.
After Woodstock, which I also attended, everything changed and rock became big business.

She's a real legend. Every once in a while, I break out "Piece of My Heart" and play it very loud. That was when female singers didn't necessarily have to be beautiful dolls with big boobs.
