Do you think Britnay is "embarassingly out of shape"?

I couldn't believe it when i read AP's description of Britnay Spears during her performance in the MTV awards. They say she was "embarassingly out of shape".
Then I saw the picture. Maybe I have bad taste, but this is one of the sexiest pictures I've seen of Britney, ever.

This is a more flattering photo than the reality. She certainly is not in bad shape considering she had two kids not all that long ago...but in profile the clothing she chose was not the most flattering and she had quite a roll (for her)

I imagine they were, and that I don't agree with. She looked pretty good, but I don't think the outfit was a good choice. There really isn't any reason why she has to have on the least clothes on of anyone on the stage.

She sleepwalked through the whole thing and didn't seem to know where she was half the time. There were a couple of parts where she came-to and danced a bit, then she fell asleep again and shambled off to the next setpiece in her routine.

The only thing worse was Sarah Silverman's flatfooted opening monologue. Most of the audience looked like they thought they were on an episode of Punk'd.

But watching that performance was like watching a train wreck, it was horrible but I couldn't look away. There were a couple times where she actually forgot to move her lips but even when she did she was horribly off. I was quite embarrassed for her watching it. That girl has some issues and it's sad that there's no one in her life who can save her from herself. Besides the fact that I think she clearly has some mental health problems this just reaffirms to me every bad thing that can happen when you push a kid into show business. It's child abuse -- hell, worse than child abuse -- it's pimping a kid. I feel bad for her and even worse for her children.

42. As far as weight goes, she's fine.

I doubt she's over a 25 BMI or anything like that.

But for someone who used to essentially be a professional dancer, yes, she's very out of shape. She has lost all of her muscle tone and looks flabby everywhere. It's not about the skinny vs. the curves, it's about the muscle vs. the flab. She needs to work out more, and not to lose weight.

For the record, I'm a pudgy little thing myself who thinks that the current starlet standard of 10 lbs up from concentration camp victim is disgusting and totally unhealthy. But I also work out every day and my ass looks better than Britney's right now, despite probably outweighing her by at least 30 lbs. And I'm not a dancer or an entertainer. She SHOULD be in better shape than me. It's her job to be in better shape than me. Girl needs to go to the gym, bad. I'm embarrassed for her that she agreed to get up in front of 20 million viewers and the scions of the music industry and attempt to dance looking like she spent the last 6 months laying on her couch watching Jerry Springer.

she couldn't keep up with her dancers. Her performance was very "tired". I think her dancers actually had to help her up onto the platform during her performance.

Her body looks good for having two kids, but it didn't look good enough to wear that outfit. Her legs, arms, butt and hips looked good. Her tummy needs some work. I don't like the anorexic ideal either and I'm not saying she looks fat. All she needs to do is put down the booze and work out for a few months and she'd look great.

I understand the phrase "out of shape" to refer to one's fitness level. Britney was pathetically out of shape for a dancer. Did you see how much help she needed to get up on the platform?
