I feel like a "dirty old man"...
My friend and I meet for breakfast every Sunday and discuss the world's problems, politics, guitars, music, etc...

There is a waitress at the diner we go to named Celine -- she is gorgeous, smart, witty...and about 19 years old! I'm 44 and my friend is 50, and today he sent me an e-mail about how he would like to "show Celine his guitars."

Good lord!! Is it possible to be a "dirty old man" at 44 years of age??!!

3. According to my 15-yr old niece
Yes, you are old. And yes, you are *not* cool.

There's nothing you can do about it, my friend.

7. I occasionally forget that I'm not hip (almost 50)
but I don't care actually. There is something to be said for life experience, after all.

As far as the dirty old man/woman thing goes, I don't think there is anything terrible about appreciating the beauty, intelligence and energy of young folks over 18 in a positive and supportive way!

(how's that for equivocation!)

5. I am 41, wife is younger....
But not THAT much younger.

Beauty is beauty, and age difference is not always relevant in lust :)

8. Speaking as a 46 year old
To a teenager, you are a dirty old man. The best you can do is not to look too hard and think of football. :)

10. Ha!
I'm 57 and still can't help myself. Sometimes :) It's hard wired into us and our culture doesn't help. So the answer is YES! :toast:

11. I'm not even of age yet, and I don't think older men are "dirty."
Of course, I'm not a little sexpot, so people don't look at me, regardless of how old they are. :D Some people will lust after anything, which is all right as long as you're aware of it and are in as much control of it as possible.

:hi:

12. This girl is exactly the kind of girl I would have had a crush on when I
was in college. She is smart, witty, gorgeous, pierced lip, brunette, big brown eyes...she gives us as much crap as we give her! (Playfully...).

It's not lust -- more like "appreciation" of a beautiful woman.

13. nah
You're human. I'm the same age and I'm coming to terms w/ the "Oh My God, I'm old enough to be her Father!" thought in my head whenever I see an attractive younger woman during my day; being married to my soulmate helps, but hey, it's human to look and appreciate:D

18. Beats being old enough to be her GRANDFATHER.
At 54, I'm old enough to be a lot of stuff, and too old to be a lot more.

16. Of course it is.
But you're not pawing at her, giving her the google eyes, or making comments that upset her, so... you're not. :)
