I own a home - can you believe it. I own property (well by 2037 it'll be all mine) |
|
:woohoo:
Unfortunately it has no furniture so back to my nasty old apartment.
But I own a beautiful row home with gorgeous hardwood floors and the most beautiful tiny little backyard.
I moved a few things in today while playing 'Physical Grafitti' on my record player (had to move that and a few vinyl). While moving I enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco (for those who don't know what that is - it's Italian Sparkling Wine)
Before I left tonight I drank my last glass of champagne while standing in my backyard during a light drizzle. It was the most wonderful moment of my life, I could hear "Ten Years Gone" faintly in the background and it just felt so wonderful to be standing on my own little plot of land that is surrounded by a pergola filled with morning glories.
Perhaps after I get some furniture in there I'll have a small DU gathering and hell I'll even pay tolls for anyone coming out of town (must bring receipt in order to claim money)

It says 360 payments, not 480. :dunce: must have coffee before posting.

Ah, the pleasures of home ownership. I like the advice someone above posted -- you don't have to buy everything at once. Take your time in decorating your home. Have fun in picking the colors you want to paint the wall. (Please, no white walls. Show your courage.) Good luck.

15. Congrats! Technically, though, you do OWN it. |

You've got title, that's your chunk of dirt. You just have a nice lien on it.

It's far better to own than to rent. The best of luck in your new home...when you move in, that is.

Bring your own furniture?
I have mixed feelings about a tiny backyard. I like big backyards, like the one my brother and I turned into a little football field. Then again, it probably cuts down on your yard work.
Congrats :toast:
