Not really the winners, but the telecast sucks. The audio keeps cutting out. Miss Seacrest sucks. The "in the round" shit sucks.
A big pile o' poop!

3. I keep hoping somebody'll hit Seacrest with a tranquilizer dart. |
|
They're AWFUL.
The in the round thing is a horrible idea.
Nobody looks like they're having fun.
Sally Field looked like she wanted to kick the shit out of Seacrest,
They mispronounced Heigl's name? Inexcusable. Hello, rehearsals?
Ray Romano was terrible.
So far, Tony Bennett and Christina Aguilera are the only decent part.
Oh, and the joke at Paula Abdul's expense was just mean (and I don't even like her).

5. Oh and what a shock .. |

In GD the talk is of course that Fox via "KKKarl" cut out part as a part of the big tin foil hat bullshit theory.
Good god. People really need to get a fucking life.

People are on the news every week detailing their opposition to the war and several Democratic candidates are constantly pointing out the problems with the war in Iraq. The Washington Post covers the war protest in no less than two different articles.
Yet, instead of banning newscasts and jailing the Democratic candidates the government decides the real threat is a actress making a short simplistic comment on an award show that only a small fraction of the viewing public will watch.
Some people really need to lay off the booze/drugs before watching TV.

7. The introductions of the writers for the comedy shows (Daily, Colbert, Conan, etc.) was funny. |
|
Other than that one brilliant minute, it's been a pretty run-of-the-mill show.

12. James Spader was hilarious. Ripping the voters and the seats behind the stage. |

Seemed like they were on a delay of sorts to cut out the cursing and all those America haters. I'm looking at you Sally Field! ;-)

we made the mistake of starting to watch the pre-pre-show on E! at like 4:00, so by the time the show was mercifully over, I was ready to swear off TV forever.
Glad Ricky Gervais won Best Actor, though, and Jaime Pressly for Best Supporting Actor. Those were well-deserved.

17. One of the worst ever |
|
La Secrest was a bomb as a host. Ellen did her "talk to someone in the audience" thing again for about the 1,000th unfunny time. I could live the rest of my life without hearing "The Jersey Boys" doing their Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons boring tribute crap. The only times that it was good was 1) Elaine Stritch 2) Colbert and Stewart announcing the winner of the Best Actor Comedy award and when said winner wasn't there, announced that they were giving the Emmy to Steve Carrell.
Horrible show. The worst.

Elaine Stritch was the highlight of the show. "I'm not acting! I really have no idea what the hell I'm doing!"
