A favor please... Would someone post the link to the Asperger "eyes" test thread or site? |
|
I'm sadly not a donor (no work, no money). I know that the test is pseudo-science, but I want to make a point to some clowns on another site.
This is regarding a Lounge thread a week or two ago, in which one views 36 sets of cropped photos of just human eyes, and then selects one out of four choices for the emotion which best describes them.
I managed a 31 out of 36. Pseudo-science or not.
Thank you.

2. Thank you very much. That's it. |
|
I googled around but didn't see it.
Is not being able to find it, a test in itself? ;-)

3. I just took it and also scored a 31. |
|
I seem to misinterpret NEGATIVES more often- the five I missed were "arrogant", "embarrassed", "uneasy", "impatient", & "uneasy".

you've got a star. (and no, I had nothing to do with it - my car was hauled away by a towtruck this afternoon. I hope it isn't going to be too expensive...)

But then I do sort of suspect that I'm on the high end of the Asperger's spectrum.

10. This thing is fucked up |
|
That test is bullshit. I'm not fucking autistic. Fuck that.
Not that there's anything "wrong" with people who are autistic, but I don't care what some stupid internet test says, I'm not autistic. That's bullshit. High blood pressure, yes. Autism, no.
Respond if y'all want to, but I'm going to bed -- BEFORE I BECOME AUTISTIC -- and I'll see y'all later. G'night.

12. Yeah- Remember my intro- It's just pseudo-science, not anything formal. |
|
I'm incomplete in different ways but that didn't show up on this test, oddly.

17. And remember that this is more of an empathy test than anything else. |
|
If it had extreme math problems, it might ring more true regarding Asperger's.

14. It really isn't pseudo |
|
science
test test validity on these things seems to be pretty good.
I guess the question is does it truly measure Asperger's syndrome, and by that I mean, does Asperger's really exist beyond the realm of being a part of a spectrum of relating where autism is on one end and astute awareness and empathy is on the other.
It's an interesting test.

16. There are claims of masters in India being able to perceive multiple things |
|
at the same time, things going on around them altogether, and then being able to correctly name how many times x happened, and everything else.
Perception can indeed be increased, but empathy is not necessarily part of it. So it's a good perception/empathy test.
