Bare Escentuals wearers: I had a makeunder today!
I know that there are several people who wear Bare Escentuals and post on DU; I had a makeunder today with their corporate makeup artist, Bravon! It was a blast, and I learned a lot of new makeup tricks.

If you're curious, I'll do my best to answer questions!
Julie
and yeah, right now I look gorgeous

"You must leave him NOW! I can't live another day of my life without you!"

4. You must do whatever you have to do
to get a makeunder with Bravon. He is a MASTER. I've seen him twice now, and every time, I learn new stuff.

The latest, among many other tips: Cupcake as a pre-blush! It's gorgeous!

5. i know you do
alas it makes me swear because i just don't have the touch with the brush and i just can't do it like the make-up artist, some of them really have a gift

in the right hands that stuff is pure gold, in my hands...more like dust bunnies under the bed

6. I love that stuff but it makes me look older for some reason.
I wore it in the store and LOVED it! Then I went to my car, looked in the rearview mirror in broad daylight, and was instantly horrified. It makes my crow's feet look like the Grand Canyon.

18. I found that it really makes a big difference to moisturize first
without regular exfoliation and moisturizer before I think it can get a little cakey on dry spots. If you hydrate up the eye area before application it really does go on a lot smoother and makes fine lines less obvious.

I love the stuff.

10. Amitten, I'm so bumming to hear this!
For whatever reason, it makes me look younger.

I'm wondering if a little bit of Bisque in the crow's feet might help. (Bisque can fix anything.)

But I'm hooked on this foundation from Shiseido that has SPF 42. 42!!!

Really great for the overwhelming Texas sun...

but I'm pressed for time.. the scale has "bare escentuals" on one side, and my "gabbly friends" on the other!

what a dilemma!

Hope things are well with you, sounds like you are keeping up with yourself, maybe you'll get that unexpected meeting with the Fitz man. Never be caught unprepared!

16. He's probably hiding in his office right now
The mob? Doesn't scare him. Al Qaida? Get real. Shortish, married, roly poly redheads with a crush on him? Terrifying!

In the meantime, I'm so glad everything's going well for you and your family!

12. Supernova, you look BEautiful!
If you have a Bare Escentuals boutique near you, they do free "makeunders" if you sign up for one.

Of course, you're already gorgeous!

17. I switched to BE about a year ago. Love it. I don't like a heavy makeup feel so it works for me.
Did they do your eyes? What's "new" in eye colors for Fall?

I have rosacea and BE is really a godsend for me.

19. Do you have a problem with flaking with your rosacea?
I always walk that thin line between getting enough moisture to not be flaky and being oily and breaking out. What kind of moisturizer to you use if I may ask? I got some samples of the bareVitamins and it does well preparing the face as far as moisture but it doesn't seem to be very hydrating in the long run. Otherwise I use a gel-type thing from Clinque but I'm trying to find cheaper options that work well. Any suggestions welcome!

20. My Dermatologist switched me to Cetaphyl cleanser and Cetaphyl moisturizer with SPF. Great stuff.
The cleanser really cleans your face...no oily residue left. My skin feels completely clean and fresh but not overly stripped of moisture. The moisturizer is very simple, non-greasy, good for ultra sensitive oily skin like mine. And these products are inexpensive and right on the drugstore shelf.
I have to be very careful what a I put on my face because of rosacea and sensitivity. These two products work really well for me.
