I'm into some serious procrastination here, and just polished off the last of last night's pizza.
It was a fozen Red Baron pizza, and wasn't bad. $2.49 on sale for the 12" Supreme.
Pizza joints around here are getting worse, and the frozen ones are getting better. There's always something on sale, too.
What's your favorite frozen pizza?

1. Di Giorno is good...so is Freschetta... |
|
But, since my last frozen pizza was a Di Giorno, I vote for them.

I love Di Giorno's. The closest to deep dish Chicago pizza, IMO.

6. Frozen pizza is too salty for my tastes. |
|
I've always been a deli pizza fan. And now that we have Papa Murphy's, I can get a made to order pizza for really cheep. I love to make my own pizza, too, but only on the weekend, since it takes a while to make the dough.

Pretty good, and since the Pizza King around the corner keeps raising their prices (what cost $9 when I moved here 5 years ago is now $12...) why not?

and their French Bread Pizza. Man.. I love those!! But, being that I'm a pizza snob, I almost always make the effort to do the 30 minute drive to Marechiaro's in El Cajon. Best. Damn. Pizza. Ever.

21. I agree, Totinos is extremely underrated |
|
I love to get the basic cheese and dump on plenty of veggie toppings. The crust comes out just right, flaky and soft. Much better than many of the high priced varieties that always dominate threads like these.
I still have two Red Barons in the freezer to get rid of. Mediocre as hell.
If I had to isolate one from the list, it would be Stouffer's.

I have not been able to eat frozen pizza ever since. Just thinking about it now makes me want to :puke:, and this happened more than 15 years ago.

24. You will always find hairs in processed meat... |
|
it's because the processors they grind them up in often have rats fall in and they just grind up right up with the sausage... You just can't think about that when you are eating it. ;)

Pepe's or Sally's are the benchmarks. I prefer white clam pizza, or straight red with mozzarella.
The crust should be thin, crisp on the bottom and wet of the top. The thin layer of cheese should be browned just a bit. The sauce should be thin, almost watery -- crushed tomatoes, not marinara sauce. A brick oven is necessary to do it right. I haven't met a frozen pizza yet that I can get excited about.

I get cheese sauce-filled crust. It's really good, marginally better than DiGiorno but very similar.

15. Flour, water, oil, salt, yeast |
|
Haven't eaten a frozen pizza since college. I've found that it's not at all hard or time consuming to make homemade pizza. It tastes SO much better than that frozen crap and I have a choice of Chicago style or soft/crispy thin crusts. I buy bulk yeast at Costco, a $5.00 bag lasts me about a year.

17. I prefer grocery store made pizzas |
|
The local grocery store makes them in the deli. They made these same type at the Kroger store we went to in Ohio also. They are fresher, less processed tasting than commercially made frozen. They are usually a pretty good deal too.

23. Yes, the grocery-store pizzas are the best (fresher, overall less nasty) |
|
CostCo has damn good pizzas, and they are always very reasonably priced and pretty good-sized. A great family value.

I don't buy pizza or eat frozen ones anymore. I live in a town with four local pizzeria's and each ones large cheese pizza is identical.

The best sauce, the best crust, the best cheese.
Fortunately my grocery store's "store brand" is apparently made by Tombstone, because it tastes exactly the same. Yum.

I like to burn them, till they're dark brown and crunchy. Don't know why, I just like them that way. Di Giorno (Delissio in Canada) is OK too. Best though is my own thick & juicy homemade, half Hawaiian, half ham, pep, and shroom.
Edit: These are Totino's in the USA.
