Anyone going to Borders tomorrow?
I'm looking for a copy of a magazine that's supposed to be available at Borders, but not at the one near me. It's called "Carrie Leigh Nude" and would probably be in the photography section, but might be in the "men's magazines" or even the foreign magazines.

Please let me know here or by PM if you can help me track one down.

Thanks!

1. I dropped $180 there yesterday. My wife has told me I'm...
...not allowed in there unaccompanied for a very long time.

2. You bought one DVD?
Amazing that they can survive charging list price for everything, especially when their online partner is Amazon.

Explain to her that it's a mission of mercy. A photographer friend of mine has work in the issue... maybe you can send her in to look for it? :)

4. We'll swing by and have a look for you.
The branch is in northern Orange County, so don't get your hopes up. Around here, Photography Today is considered a subversive publication.

5. That would be cool...
I'm told some conservative stores keep 'em behind the counter. If they have two, that would be even better. :)

10. I need to pick up the copy of War and Peace
Edited on Sat Sep-29-07 12:51 AM by FloridaJudy
I ordered there a week ago. That'll be a weird combo: Tolstoy and titties.

If it's there, I'll PM you.

PS: have you tried finding it online?
(edited to add PS)

11. Cool... please go ahead and get one if it's there.
I'm sure I can find a good home if I end up with an extra one or two.

12. I wasn't
but thanks for the idea. I was at Barnes & Noble earlier this week, looking for The Shock Doctrine ( they didn't have it. ) I never think of going to Border's, but now I will.

No, there's no Borders down here in Roanoke! And I don't get my discount while I'm not working anyway...*sigh*

14. A perpetual 20% off coupon to Borders
Always go to Visit Borders for a 20% coupon all the time. I usually print 2 or 3 to carry around with me in case I happen to be in the neighborhood.

15. Borders "coupons" kind of piss me off
They exclude virtually EVERYTHING it seems... no magazines, nothing on sale, none of their remainders... only their list price items.

Last time I tried to use one, I had $50 worth of stuff and saved like 40 cents on some chocolate.

16. That's why I usually go to Barnes & Noble
With the membership I get 10% off on most everything (especially magazines) including an additional 10% off on sale items. For non-sale books the 20% coupons (and if your are a Borders member 25-30% coupons via email) sometimes are a better deal than B&N.
