We went ice-fishing today! |
|
Tony and I went with a friend over to Lake Shelbyville this afternoon, and guess what??? We actually caught 6 crappie and a decent-sized bass.
We're having fish for supper, of course. :)

No crappy here :( but we do get trout :). A friend has an ice-house (about 8x10 plywood) that has an area to sit and a heater (propane) to use if it's cold (like 20 below or so). Nice thing is....you don't have to worry about how well the fish will keep!
Fry up some crappy for me, Padraig, it's been a while............

3. I was amazed at how fat they were. |
|
I thought they'd be skinny, but I guess they eat even when it's cold. I just finished dicing the potatoes for potatoes au grating, and Tony is cutting cabbage for slaw. :)
