I am looking online and I despair of ever finding it. It's the icky, "off" details of one man's journey to hell. There's an elevator that takes him from one party to the next, and they're all insufferable.

I'm really craving that blast from the past. Thank you.

william nolan's the doctor/SF writer from back in the day, right? when i was a kid, i got a kick from his story about the "cover up" when the doctors discovered that humans were descended not from the primates but from the pigs
-- humanity just couldn't handle the truth! :-)

P.s. just googled him and he was never a doctor, but he WAS the author of "the party" originally published in playboy in 1967

still don't have a link to either story...

2. HEH!
PLEASE tell me a little about that. I really kind of got stuck on the Party story & it seems this guy has an imagination that would freak the most sturdy of us out.

15. Dang! I looked at "buried" and still couldn't find the link.
Thank you so much for helping me look, though. :D I suppose if I want this story badly enough, I'll find it on the internet somehow. :toast:
