4. Really? It's changed since I lived in CA then, I always heard it was pretty
conservative/reactionary. However, that was a while ago, and maybe it was just considered that in relation to more seriously progressive areas.

One could easily not be glad for Gore but still believe in global warming, but the question doesn't allow for that.

6. It seems to be representative of our area
I live in Placer County and am always flabbergasted by the results of our polls.

It seems like many Republicans have married their cousins which kept their IQ low.
