Okay, creepiest thing EVER today.
I work the night shift, so normally I go to sleep between 10 am and noon, but since I'm probably going to be moving suddenly soon I decided to stay up and have some good quality roommate bonding time. My roommate's an artist, and I'm a fairly artsy type person (although my talents lie more in playing with words and music. The only visual art I've ever been able to do well is http://stickmanltd.comicgenesis.com/d/20031112.html">stick figures. :) ), so we went to a local art festival that's going on this weekend. Hung out, had a good time, ect. ect.

On the way back he was in the mood to stop for a nice sugary unhealthy snack and I recommended a good ice cream/italian ice place I'd been to that he hadn't. We got there, and as I'm walking up this little girl who was there with her parents... couldn't have been more than 12 was TOTALLY CHECKING ME OUT. Blatantly just staring at me. Maybe if I was 15 or something I'd just take it as a compliment... but I haven't been fifteen for about ten years now. And maybe if she was 15 I'd just take it as a compliment too. But that girl was about the same age as my neice. My neice who I babysat and changed diapers for back when I was around 15. That's just CREEPY and WEIRD. Little girls should not be checking out old men like me. I know I'm pretty and all, but jeez.

She didn't even try to hide it either. It was blatant staring. Even my roommate noticed, and he's usually oblivious. I think even her parents noticed.

5. Yeah, just a bit.
I think what creeped me out the most was just the fact that she looked to be the same age as my neice... and I don't want my neice to be doing stuff like that. At least not for the the next few years. And preferably towards boys her own age. :)

6. Yeah
12 years old is such an odd age. Not mature enough to have learned how to ogle discreetly...

7. IIRC it was so daring to do that, and safe at the same time
just starting to test the 'womanly wiles' without having to actually *do* anything or deal with consequences

11. Maybe it's just creepier to me because my neice is that same age.
And she's already started to write 'I love Orlando Bloom' on all of her notebooks and whatnot. :)

13. Yeah, I wasn't too creeped out when one of my little sister's friends was eyeing me at her birthday
Edited on Sun Oct-14-07 02:42 AM by DarkTirade
party last year, that I could just take as a compliment. Someone who I wasn't interested in, but was at least of a dating-ish age. (and I wasn't the one who noticed her eyeing me at the time, my girlfriend was the one who pointed it out to me. :) Maybe I would have been creeped out then too if I'd noticed it at the time instead of finding out afterwards.) But that young... just a little too weird for me I guess.

I'm sure when I was that age I'm sure I did some staring myself. Man, I am so glad I don't have any kids... I totally wouldn't be able to handle having a boy OR a girl that age... :)

10.  I have a daughter who just turned 12. I have no illusions about
typical 12 yo behavior. She may have been checking you out but you should not be alarmed or freaked out about it because you realize it happens, right? Little girls who act provocatively are not unusual - keep it in perspective - joke with them & forget about it. Then they can safely go home & giggle & dream about the future. Above all, let them know they are ok, but don't encourage anything innappropiate.

14. My brother had to deal with that a lot with one of his daughter's friends.
She started trying to flirt with him before she even hit puberty. At the time I thought it was somewhat amusing, and I had a laugh at his expense... now that the tables have turned it suddenly doesn't seem quite so funny though. :)

16. Kids that age love the torment adults. You're just a toy to them. Something to laugh about later.

on the length of your hair. I'm usually adverse to guys whose hair is beyond should length.

23. Then it would be too long for your taste. :)
The only reason I have even allowed scissors near my hair for the last eight years or so has been to trim off split ends.
