2. Yessssssss.
Since October 1st smoking is forbidden in public places in Germany. Went do a dear old cafe today which I've been going to for years, asked for an ash tray out of habit... Finally smoked on the parking lot, how humiliating! Cold, too *g* And coffee no matter how good doesn't taste right without a cigarette...

3. I *think*, but I'm not sure...
..we are still allowed to smoke in the shower. Well at least it is a place people won't bitch at ya.

Last week some friends I haven't seen in a while came over and brought their 11 year old son. I wanted a quick smoke so I went to my basement and lit up. A few minutes later they came down and the kid got angry with me for smoking. His mother said "He hates cigarettes"..LOL. This is where we are heading people. :woohoo:

6. If I smoked in my own house and were so polite as
to do it in the basement - any ANYBODY complained about THAT - I'd loose my temper.

40. Amen to that
That is how I feel. I smoke in my house, and nonsmokers dont come over if you dont like. I smoke and I"m going to keep smoking. I feel that we are the ones being discriminated against. Have been for years. I have been ignored, looked down at, and actually yelled at by others who are outside coming into MY path, and complaining about my smoke. My advise: Stay the hell away from me then. Geez Louise, they've banished us enough, if they can't stay out of my way when I'm having a ciggy, then it's not my problem. Now their complaining about the smoke outdoors. Well HELLO!!!! I do believe there are other worse pol lents out there then my smoke. I say, Get away from me. Sorry, this is just outraging me and has for many years. Screw them!!!!! I'm as polite as I can be, and most respectful of my nonsmoking friends, I only wish I could get the respect from the rest of the nonsmoking public when they cross MY path.

5. My spin instructor told me when she was a kid she came home from school begging her mom to quit
She didn't want to lose her to lung cancer. So, her mother quit only to have to deal with her daughter starting to smoke at age 13. Hahahahahahahaha.

9. What happened to all of the old brands? I just happened to see the cigarette display
at Walgreen's the other day..it looked like almost all were varieties of Marlboro or Camel..what happened to Kool, Old Gold, Chesterfield, Raleigh, Benson & Hedges etc? There used to be so many different ones..

29. I second that
I don't smoke anymore and I hope I don't turn into an asshole (though I apparently haven't seen the threads the OP is referring to). I must keep the memories fresh of how every time someone said something to me about smoking I wanted to put one out in their eyeballs. I once saw a shirt that said "Warning me about smoking could be hazardous to your health." I DON'T WANNA BECOME AN ASSHOLE!
