I think I'm the dumbest smart person I know. |

How can a person earn strong GPA's but do so pitifully on standardized tests?
I remember a thread from earlier this year where everyone responded with their SAT scores. Mine were, by far, the lowest in the thread. My first batch of GRE's were relatively better, however no where near stellar.
Why is it that I am so downright terrible at these exams? As I mentioned in a previous thread, I graduated with Honors from a somewhat tough state school (UT-Austin) and have a Master's from a somewhat tough state school (CU-Boulder). My lack of success on one is incongruent with my success on the other - by a LONG SHOT.
My verbal scores are also somewhat poor... but if the test involved writing and critical thinking, I'd nail it. I think I'm an idiot savant.
Sorry for the solipsistic rant. :(

nothing to brag about. I was always fighting with teachers. I've known several people at work who couldn't pass the standardized test to get paid for the job they were already doing.
On edit: Does that make me the smartest dumb person?
