What's your favorite new show this fall?
Even though I don't own a TV, I've seen several screeners for new shows. So far, my fav is "Pushing Daisies". Any other opinions?

2. Pushing Daisies.
I really, really wanted to like Journeyman. It has a "Life on Mars" feel and Kevin McKidd, but I'm just not into it right now.

The only new show that I really like is Pushing Daisies. It's so sweet and unique.

Plus, I like pie. So that helps. :)

8. Yeah, Chuck seems to be one of the better ones.

I'm not usually a fan of gratuitous shots of beautiful women in their underwear, but somehow they make it work. ;)

4. Pushing Daisies
Only thing we've watched on TV for years.

You can watch it at ABC's site if you want. Last time I went they still had the the pilot up as well as last week's episode.

5. 'Chuck' and 'Pushing Daisies' are the only two I've watched.
nd I like both of them.

PD has that Tim Burton-ish/Dr. Seuss vibe that makes it appealing.

Chuck is much better than I anticipated.

6. I'm all about the quirky this season
Chuck, Pushing Daisies, and Reaper are staying in my TiVo season pass list. I'm not sure which one I like best yet--each has its strengths and they're not really "competition" for each other. I can love 'em all equally! :loveya:

(And a good thing too, as my old standbys--Lost, Battlestar Galactica--are AWOL for now, and others are not thrilling me at the moment--ahem, I'm talkin' to you, Heroes! But Desperate Housewives is working very hard to get back to the fun of the first season and not doing too badly at it.)

7. I gotta agree with you.
I've only seen one episode, but I liked Pushing Daisies. A lot of people have already said it, but it's got a sort of Tim Burton feel that works surprisingly well on TV.

but I guess it was foreshadowed a few episodes earlier when Charlie and Marcy were talking in bed.

is incredible. Re-watching last nights episode again. The climax of the episode might be the funniest thing I have ever seen on a sitcom.

29. my first reaction was negative, but I really got into it
My first reaction to Californication was a sense of deja vu for the HBO series "Dream On" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_On_%28TV_series%29 which was about a self-destructive middle aged editor fucking anything that moved with lots of plot redundant sex and banter with his ex and sardonic child.

But I have really come around on it, the mid-season episodes really lightened up on the sex and actually let the stories take hold.

12. Carpoolers, but I've only seen it once.
This new comedy follows four typical suburban men named Laird, a recently divorced dentist and self proclaimed playboy; Aubrey, who is the sole provider for his family, especially for his wife who is a couch potato; Gracen, a professional mediator, who is all about traditional values and is married to Leila, who is a house flipper; and Dougie, who is the new guy to the group and just married...

13. Chuck, and Big Bang Theory...
I was laughing so hard at Big Bang Theory last night. It was a scream. Chuck is good, and women in their underwear fighting is kind of interesting to watch.

But it is funny. They take all the nerd stereotypes and play them up. I was rolling with laughter the last few weeks. The tall skinny roommate is funny.

16. Friday Night Lights
It was actually a new show last fall but I just stumbled upon it. I caught a couple of rerun episodes and was hooked. I caught up on the first season on DVD and the second season just started a couple weeks ago. It's a great show. I don't care about football and could care even less about high school football but it's still an amazing show.

Also though Angie Harmon is a repuke, I kind of liked "Women's Murder Club" I guess I am kind of divorcing the actress from the character.

Also like "Aliens in America," "Chuck" and "Cane." My guilty pleasure: "Gossip Girl," though it's not true to the books. ;)

On edit - how could I forget "Reaper" !

Journeyman, Californication, Women's Murder Club, and Dirty Sexy Money.

Chuck and Big Bang Theory already got deleted from my tivo.

Of the non-new shows, I highly recommend Brothers & Sisters, Dexter, and Desperate Housewives is makin' a comeback.

On edit: I watch Pushing Daisies too, but I'm not enamored by it yet. It's good...but...eh...

34. Bionic Woman
to be honest I'm still a little on the fence on this show but so far it's earned enough respect for me to stick with it. If it wasn't for the involvement of some of the same folks who re-did BSG I might not have stuck with it.

I think my initial uneasiness with it was the speed at which Jamie Summers accepted her new situation. And although much of the acting is good I'm not sure about the star and it seems like the show is still trying to find the balance of character/plot/cultural impact of the science.

And, given all its rave reviews, I decided to tune into the pilot for "Pushing Daisies". I did find the main character endearing, but the show itself didn't really hold my attention.
