I had something like that done. I can't believe I don't remember the name of the procedure. I had my cervix scraped cause I had abnormal cells. But so far so good and no weird cells hanging around.

6. My daughter went through that. |

She had to step down her activities for about 6 weeks afterward, but overall, the procedure when just fine.

accomplishes whatever it's supposed to accomplish, and doesn't have any complications. :( It's sounds kind of scary.

1. Insist on painkillers, because you WILL hurt later, and advil won't cut it. The next doctor who blithely tells me there are no nerve endings in the cervix is going to get kicked in the nuts (I also endured two colposcopies without any kind of painkillers prior to the cryosurgery, and I'm still kinda angry about it).
2. Don't stand up too quickly at the end of the procedure. I did, and went right back down--out cold. Your body doesn't take kindly to having something deep inside it frozen down to umpteen degrees below zero; it's a bit of a shock to the system.
PM me if you want any more (gross) details, and I hope it goes really well for you tomorrow. :hi:
