6. To the end of the football season |
|
there's just the pro-bowl or some such nonsense after the super bowl?
Sports are the opiate of the nation, too much money, time and energy are spent on stats. People discuss sports instead of what is really going on in the world.
If you are a rare fan that can keep it in prospective you are lucky, I suspect if you are a regular poster here you probably fall into that catagory, but most don't.

16. well, it's got some votes now . . . |
|
including mine . . . I'll check in on the game in the fourth quarter . . . if it's close (doubtful, but you never know), I'll watch the rest . . . I like the Pats, but it won't kill me if they don't win . . . I'm a lot more interested in how all of these veteran Survivors are going to try to outfox one another . . . this should be the ultimate "Screw Your Buddy" exercise . . . just watching Richard Hatch's mind at work is an education in itself . . .

10. The Poker tournament on NBC before the game! |
|
I'm much more interested in the outcome of the World Poker Tour tournament of champions! The 11 winners from the first seasons are squaring off.
I'm a football fan, but this matchup just does nothing for me.

17. Houston has the best strippers... |
|
Of all the places I have been in Vegas, LA, Atlanta, Tampa and Orlando, these adult entertainers are the best hands down. It's like the club owners hired a bunch of ex-Victoria's Secret models, had them eat regularly, then told them they could make big dollars by losing the lingerie, squirming and shaking their collective booty. Meanwhile, the dancers are having a field day, taking in a minimum of a grand each shift.
"Lingerie Bowl." Absolutely awesome... only in America!

19. i'm just looking forward to it being OVER!!!! |
|
I live in the Houston area, and I am soooooooo sick of hearing about it! extended newscasts everynight for goofy things like "celebrity sightings," cancelling other shows just to show more live footage of other people partying. Enough already!!!
I've been sick all weekend, so I won't be partying myself, and I'd just like to be able to curl up on my couch and watch something OTHER than someone talking about the Superbowl!!! :nuke:

21. I'm not going to watch |
|
the pre-game show(s), the player introductions, the umpteenth destruction of the Star-Spangled Banner, the coin toss (brought to you by blah blah), most of the commercials after the first spate (because that's when the best ones are), the POS lousy idiotic halftime show, the halftime commentary by the Bobbleheads, or the post-game "ceremonies" or Bobblehead commentary.
I am going to watch the game, drink Diet Coke & tea, eat a few chips and a steak dinner, and that's it.
This comment not directed at DUers but at The Hysterical/The Hysteria-Mongers: It's just a freaking football game. :eyes:
