I say that not to nitpick with your OP, but as an opportunity to share this story:

My mom taught elementary school for years, and one year she had a forest ranger come speak to her class. She told the ranger a favorite joke of hers:

Q: What's Smokey the Bear's middle name?
A: "The"

(I know it's a corny joke, but my mom taught elementary school for like thirty years, and that's the kind of humor that develops as a result.)

Anyway, the Ranger apparently got quite upset at my mother for perpetuating an inaccurate name for the fire safety spokesbear :rofl:

Smokey's correct full name is Smokey Bear. In 1952, songwriters Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins had a hit with "Smokey The Bear". The pair said that "the" was added to Smokey’s name to keep the song's rhythm. This small change has caused confusion among Smokey fans ever since.

It would be hilarious to have a flame war on just that subject
