Such a great experience. I wish we had passenger trains here.

6. my mom and dad traveled to the west coast 10 times by train

they took the every road west over the years. there`s nothing like going through the rockies and along the coast on the train

my mom`s family photographed everything..totally sucks not to see the cnw going through town anymore

most of that line out of chicago is a bike trail.

There's a few "Rails to Trails" area in NE Iowa. The Rock Island line used to run through there too.

15. Great pics...

...I have a love/hate relationship with trains. I think they're cool, but in Ohio, I lived about 50 feet from a very busy railroad track. A 3am horn blast is an unforgettable experience.

I've always wondered how people next to a busy rail line stand all the noise. I'd love to see that museum though.
