Y'know what's weird?
Talking to an old friend about your present lives in comparison to the lives you had mutually planned as fourth-graders.

I was supposed to have won a lot of money on Wheel of Fortune by now.
We were supposed to be living (along with a third friend) in a multi-colored castle.
None of us were supposed to be married, but our third friend was supposed to be divorced, with one child (we weren't very generous in our plans for her, but we WERE going to let her live in the castle with us.)

I have checked, and my current residence seems to be lacking a moat and/or drawbridge. I assert that the plan HAS FAILED!

:P

6. Let's establish that this would not be a "privilege" on my part
and would likely involve reciprocal fire-spitting.

Instead, I'm unemployed and nobody knows my name. Life is so unfair!!!

Let us ride to... CAMELOT!

We'll have to paint it, though. And dig a moat.

16. when we were kids we built a space ship made of cardboard in the yard
we were convinced that it would carry us into outer space, and that we could collect food, etc. The problem of vacuum never seemed to have occurred to us!

I was going to be a nun, so there you go.
