1. They haven't been funny for years; I gotta give Giuliani credit...

When the did the show after 9-11, Lorne Michaels asked Rudy "Can we be funny now?"

And Rudy replied "Why start now?"

2. I love SNL's opening and it is usually funny!

IMHO. :P

But I missed the opening tonight so, I'll have to wait to judge.

I like SNL but I agree, it isn't always funny, every show, for all the shows.

But it still is better than the news or ET! :P

3. I think it still has it's moments and can be funny
I think a lot of people forget the original shows, they weren't *all* funny. People have been saying SNL isn't funny any more since 1977.

6. No; I think Phil Hartmann did a funny Bill Clinton.
Just don't think SNL is particularly funny these days no matter what political affiliation they're lampooning.

7. Exactly. It's only funny when they attack the OTHER guy.
:sarcasm:

9. I didn't see it, although from what I've seen they haven't been nearly as funny for the last few
years anyway so I wouldn't be surprised. It seems like every time a cast member leaves, the odds that the person who replaces them will be not funny get higher every year.
