What is it with this 'nation' bit in sports?
First, it was the vile, disgusting, eee-vill Raiders fans calling themselves "Raider Nation." Then a few others picked it up, and now all I hear is "Red Sox Nation."

:wtf:

Y'all got sovereignty or somethin'?

Because if you've got sovereignty, that means... you're viewed as a sovereign entity... and the relationship between the federal government and Sox fans is one between... sovereign entities.

1. I think they should build a wall between the Raider Nation and the...
Baler Nation. :P

Fuck 'em. Fuckin' Balers. :P

7. So y'all live in grass huts,
have bones through your noses, and chuck spears at feral swine?

This totally reinforces my image of San Benito county, btw. :P

8. Worse
We live in houses that were stamped out by a big machine like in a Bugs Bunny cartoon. :(

There is a good deal of pig huntin' down around Panoche, though.

2. I don't think a lot of people understand what that means
Including many of the Red Sox Nation. One thing is for sure, though. I hope the Rockies take over in a coup.

5. Well technically, a nation isn't necessarily a sovereign entity - that would be a 'state'
It's possible to have a nation without sovereignty, but often a desire for autonomy or self-government is part of what defines a nation (as distinct from an ethnic group)... </pedantry>
