5. My very first concert. They were awesome. |

However, the roadie telling the audience about the 'really bad acid' fell into the interesting category.

6. Sweet! When did you see him? |
|
I saw him the second show of his comeback tour, in Saginaw, MI. I think it was 1987. I'd been a fan for years, but of course he also had stopped touring about 1980 or thereabouts, so I had to wait for his comeback.
I'm glad he was able to make his comeback, AND get off the booze.
Sad that he's such a rightwinger, though. I wonder what Zappa would think...

7. Gosh, it must have been about 1972 or so. |

Dillon Stadium in Hartford, CT. My DAD drove me and a bunch of my friends because we were 13, 14 and waited in the car. What a hoot. I still remember what I wore. They opened with School's Out.
And, interestingly, when I was teaching high school, I worked in a video store one summer as the 'chain' (three stores) manager. Guess who showed up looking for work? Dennis Dunaway. When I saw the resume and saw that he was from AZ, I about fell out of my chair.
Nice guy. Completely and utterly brain dead, but still a nice guy.

8. Wow - that's pretty sad! |

I see that he put out an album last year: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_DunawaySo hopefully he's doing better than working a video store. He laid down some fantastic bass grooves.

9. I think the video stop was hitting bottom for him. |
|
Seriously. He had Cindy and 2 (I think) daughters to provide for and he just wasn't making any music. This was the summer of 1986. I don't think he lives in CT anymore, but I could be wrong.
