"In Praise of my Prostate"
While most men I know are having theirs irradiated, scooped out, or surgically removed, we're enjoying a blissful Indian Summer.
The more horror stories I hear the more I'm determined to hold on to you— you're my own and I want you just the way you are.
Yes, I pee all night like any guy my age, and I'm rarely rock hard anymore, I'm not complaining—
rock hard's often numb as a stone whereas you’re a living bulb, if bulbously encrusted by our long voyage.
and you still expand, your amazing flowers bursting forth throughout my body, pistils and stamens dancing.

That's kind of cool.
I hope my prostate is as much my friend as his clearly is to him. :P

TMI is pretty much the undisclosed subtitle of every poem.

5. I've been out of town, BlueIris! |

That's my excuse. You're right, though. I apologize. Your poems threads are a wonderful idea-- I believe I said that before-- and I will be much more diligent in the future. By the way, after reading it a few times, I now appreciate the hell outta that prostate poem.

6. Oh, relax, I'm no longer castigating those who don't/can't read 'em everyday. |
|
I just thought it was amusing that someone would only now be observing that my poem threads have a lot of, um, er, detail in them. That's when I realized you probably haven't read that many of said threads.
But seriously, if you do go back over the older poem postings, be careful. Heed the "graphic language" warnings. If you thought this one had TMI...

7. Relax, you say? If only I could! |
|
No, but seriously, I meant "TMI" as a joke. Fact is I'm not offended by anything when it comes to the written word. It's also true that the prostate poem put its finger on (if you'll pardon the expression) a very relevant subject, which is nevertheless a difficult one for many men.

8. Oh, okay. I'm a little humor challenged. |

And I know prostate health is a tough issue for the mens, which is why I put this out there. I have posted so many poems aimed at women and about women's health, and I didn't want those mens-peoples to feel left out.
