Poll question: Your opinion: The Eagles' Wal-Mart exclusive release... |

of their first album of all-new material in almost 30 years.
On edit: I should add that this poll is less a critique of the quality of the Eagles' music than an opinion poll regarding their deal with Wal-Mart. The quality of the Eagles music is, of course, a whole 'nother subject.

4. Counterpoint -- 30 million American music consumers can't be wrong |

The Eagles' greatest hits album is the best-selling album in U.S. history, and No. 2 on the worldwide list.
(For the record, I'm not a huge Eagles fan either, but somebody's gotta be hearing something worthwhile there.)
On edit: changed the numbers to be more accurate

5. I think it's a perfect match - WalMart is totally their demographic |
|
and the artistry of the Eagles is perfectly matched to that of Walmart.

6. How many farewell tours have the Eagles had? |

I think once you hit 2, your band becomes irrelevant

15. That would have been the one I went to... |
|
I know I didn't spend anywhere close to $50 for it.
And the opening act was either Jethro Tull or John Mellencamp, I can't remember which. Or maybe I saw a show there where Mellencamp opened for Tull. The 80s, man.

10. I don't like exclusive deals like this, period |
|
Having an exclusive deal with Wal-Mart just makes it that much more unpalatable.
