Our Cat Loves Me So Much - I Need To Show Her I Love Her Too |
|
Our cat is the MOST affectionate cat there is. What a LOVE! She showed me just how much this morning and DAMMIT, it's time I returned the favor.
So, Pumpkin, I'll return the favor tomorrow morning. I'll set my alarm and get up sometime in the 4:00 am hour (as you did) and find wherever you are sleeping.
I'll show you how much I love YOU by standing on YOUR head. Unfortunately, I can't purr as loudly as you so I'll instead be playing "Rhyme Of The Ancient Mariner" by Iron Maiden in your ear.
I not very good at kneading as I don't possess claws, so I'll substitute that by just stomping up and down on your face. I certainly hope that is a suitable way in the feline world to show affection but I must apologize in advance for the substitution.
I love you Pumpkin and its about DAMNED time I show you just how much.

Wanna trade? My kitty is too cool for all that.
She has warmed up in the last month and a half and purrs more than she used to. Only because she knows there is no reprehensor here and she has to suck up to me for dinner.

You could close the door to your bedroom. (But that's not as much fun). Mine does the same thing. I even try to fake sleep sometimes, but somehow she knows I'm awake.

You need to find another cat to STARE at Pumpkin while you jump on her face...Thats what happens in my household EVERY morning at about 5am--one stares at my face while the other claws (lovingly) at my feet...After I have done their bidding and am awake THEY go back to sleep. Must be nice.....:eyes:

6. Awww. Pumpkin is just making sure that you don't miss your |
|
alarm and oversleep. She knows how upset that would make you and she wants to spare you the emotional distress that is bound to occur if you wake up late. What a thoughtful kitty.

I think I finally got to bed at 10 last night.
I was just rolling out of bed and running but I like sitting back with a coffee and watching the Daily Show on TiVo these days. Almost there- 8 days

8. Did she bring you a freshly murdered mouse? |

Until that happens, you cannot say that she really loves you.

I'm the one still awake at 4:00, and they're the ones trying to sleep. That's pretty much all mine do, is sleep. If I weren't an insomniac, we'd all be in sleep heaven. And while Oliver sleeps by my head, he's never rude enough to assault me. He knows who's buying cat food, and it ain't him.

17. 5 and 6 a.m. here, though she claws up the sofa until I'm awake instead |
|
Hell, she probably kneads me and sits on my head too, but I'd sleep through that. (Also, she seems to have some jones against DU; she generally gets on the desk between me and the laptop whenever I'm online, which is one reason I'm practically never here anymore.)
We try to keep the cats from sleeping during the day, so we'll have an outside shot of sleeping through the night. Does it work? Well, no, but it's still worth a shot.

21. I wake up nose to nose with Chaucer. |
|
He'll be standing there purring as loud as he can. If that isn't enough to wake me up he'll reach out and pat my face (usually minus claws.) I gotta tell you it is a LOT better to wake up to a purring cat than to wake up nose to nose with one who is hissing and spitting!
If you are feeling especially evil feel free to find his furry litle ass and wake it up about avery thiry miutes during the day. The LOVE when you do that...
:hi:
Laura
PS, if you feed Pumpkin in the morning, make sure you do it AFTER you have been up for a while. A lot of cats associate morning with a meal and THAT is why they wake us up.
