I drank a really good bottle of wine...and am watching "Blades of Glory"

I opened a bottle of wine, not really thinking about it, and drank it. Mr MB is away on business until Sunday, but I could tell by his voice when I told him, that what I opened should have been kept for a while.

Oh - and I am watching "Blades of Glory" with Little MB...

2. Too funny! THe other night I grabbed what I thought was a cheap bottle of Pinot Noir,

just to drink a glass or two while cooking and whiling away the evening alone, but cooking nothing special... After I sipped my first few sips, I thought, "Damn, this is really good!" So I looked around the wine rack to see if it might have had a little card attached with my notes and record of purchase (which I do for all my pricier wines), and found it on the floor - come to find out, it was a $20 bottle. Ooops! I thought for sure it was one of my $7 ones since it didn't have a card. Stupid card, however, had slipped off.

I'll drink a $10 bottle by myself, but anything more than that is meant to have with friends. I ain't made outta money.

One of these days I'm getting one of those cool wine pens that writes on glass so I don't have to deal with attaching those fucking cards to my bottles any more. I can keep them separately.

But sometimes it's good to spoil yourself!!

And the last cup of that bottle made an awesome sauce for some lambchops. Yummy!
