Has there ever been a Sly Stone appreciation thread on DU? Regardless, DANCE TO THE MUSIC...
Hey, I know that Sly's a train wreck as a human being.

BUT...when you're talking about James Brown and George Clinton, Sly belongs in the same discussion. He changed music. He couldn't handle his success, but that doesn't change what he accomplished.
