7. I Lost!

I'm doing okay. This first epidural hasn't done me any good, but the doctor said it might take two or three. I still have a bruised knot at the injection site, so my back is a bit more tender than usual. I can still handle it with my painkillers through, so it's all okay.

We'll see how the second injection goes. Though I have to say, I'm really not looking forward to going through that again. The 36 hours immediately after the injection were not fun.

I don't like to gamble. I certainly don't take risks with my body. I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't regarded as a completely safe proceedure with a very high success rate. I just hope I don't end up being one of the exceptions.

6. My wife quit her job to be a stay at home mom.

Life is good. She found the only part-time job where you can bring a one year old to work: the new Organic baby store! Full of toys and a play area with a diaper station and a private nursing alcove. Things are much less stressful now at the MG residence.
