David AjemianTurns out Conan O'Brien isn't the only celeb on the mind of wacky Rev. David Ajemian.

The holy follower of Conan told the Daily News he's got two other stars on his wish list: Paul Simon and Faye Dunaway. Say your prayers!

He told the paper, "I'd like to meet Paul Simon. I really love his music." You can call me Al-mighty! As for Faye, he said, "I wrote her agent. I never heard anything back." Hmm, wonder why?

As for the whole "stalking Conan" thing, Ajemian explained, "I've tried to make it clear that I had no intention of physically harming him in any way. I feel sad that some of my correspondences were interpreted that way."

Ajemian checked himself into a hospital last night after his father had reported him missing earlier in the day.

1. I'm beginning to suspect that there is absolutely no screening process
for those entering the priesthood....I mean, not even a simple background check for fucks sake. Now they're stalkers...Jesus Christ!!!!

2. I'm sorry but any man volunteering for both
poverty and no sex ever has to have a bit of a screw loose. I spent 10 years in a Catholic school and it did nothing but reinforce my feelings of the church being filled with contradictory weirdness. I've unfortunately met several people in my adult life who were victims of sexual abuse by priests as well. The whole system is screwed up in my opinion.

3. There are a lot of honorable priests out there, too....
As a Catholic, all of the priests I've known personally are decent, honorable people. I think it's wrong just to paint them all with a broad brush due to the actions of some.

You certainly have your crazies out there, and the dioceses didn't do the church's rep any good by concealing the abuse going on by some, but you can't just make blanket statements based on the actions of some.

The problem is, without allowing married priests and women priests, the church really limits itself, and they basically take in whoever signs up. And unfortunately, some of these folks have some serious issues. If the Church manages to get off of its stubborn, conservative ass and open up the priesthood to everybody, a lot of these shameful incidents would not happen. Heck, if they allowed married priests (as do the Eastern rite Catholics--I think I have a great-grandfather who was a priest in the Ukrainian Catholic Church), I might even be tempted to consider it.

4. I'm sure there's many decent priests.
I've known some myself, but the system as a whole needs to be seriously revamped to attract healthier people and weed out the wackos. Sorry. Until that happens, along with the horrible, extensive cover-ups, I can't in good conscience support the Catholic Church as an institution.
