Let's hear it for Droopy's "Stories from the Road" series!!!
Edited on Sun Nov-11-07 08:28 PM by darkstar
Certainly one of the best--and longest running--recurring series here in the lounge. If I'm lucky enough to see them, I *always* read them, and in my opinion, they are so straightforwardly well-written and revealing of our uniquely American human condition that I am especially proud to call him a fellow Lounger. Always worth reading.

Show your love for Droopy here!!!!

I think that's the nicest thing anybody has ever said to me on here and I certainly have never had a thread devoted to me. :D

5. Big cheers to Droopy!
He manages to be frank and compassionate at the same time. I'm always glad to see one his stories, and though I may not always comment, I do read and enjoy them.

Thanks Droopy!
(And thanks for your kindness--I appreciate that very much about you.)

8. Yep, that's it:
frank and compassionate at the same time. Never, that I've ever seen, judgmental in the least. Truly "human" stories.

13. And I'm honored to call you a friend as well, Peggy
You are one of the kindest people on here and maybe we will get to have tea and sandwiches at your favorite cafe here in the future. :) That is if you don't mind hanging out with a ragamuffin like me.

14. I would be proud, damn proud, to share tea and sandwiches!
I plan on getting back to Ohio some sweet day...I have many friends there, and when I do, we shall meet in person!

And you, sir, are no ragamuffin!

15. Good writing comes from the heart
I've only read two or three of his stories, but it's obvious he has a lot of heart

16. I'm with you there
I might not answer to much of his threads but I make sure I read them. The reason I barely answer is because I am so in awe that I don't know what to say. He says it all already.

17. Droopy's writing is only surpassed
by his compassion. I think the ability to see right to the humanity of other human beings is rare, but Droopy's ability to do that shines in his writing.

Droopy, :yourock:
