10. My-34-year-old ex still gets carded for booze and cigs |
|
This guy has the a gift of youthfulness. When he worked at the grocery store when he was 18 they had to move him to the deli because no one would take him seriously as customer service. He didn't grow hair under his armpits until he was 24.

13. I'm 36. I can somewhat understand the alcohol. About 1/3 of the time... |
|
I will get carded for cigs. The most recent time, I started laughing. The cashier said that if people look younger than 40 they are supposed to card.
I got asked for ID when buying a videogame at Best Buy. There were two kids in front of me that bought the same game, and they were not asked. I find that if I grow my beard out for a couple of days, I get asked less.

14. I don't get carded at all anymore |
|
save for the nightclubs. My 86-year-old Grandfather got carded for his 32oz. 3.2 beer that he drinks once a week. He looks every day of 86, but I guess when the booze is scanned it prompts for a DOB that must be read from the ID.

11. yes, but I want to clarify that there are two sides to this, imo |
|
'not growing up' as in still enjoying life and not losing the ability to laugh at yourself and be silly and tell stupid jokes is not the same as 'not growing up' as in being selfish and lacking any responsibility or sense.
I mean, I can be childish in the first sense all the time, but I also don't agree with the way a lot of people choose to define "growing up," such as saying that anyone over 13 can't go out dressed up to a Halloween party or watch cartoons or whatever.
But yes, I know quite a few people who drive me nuts. They are addicted to drama like they're in the 8th grade.

Still stuck at age 8, in which the world revolves around them and there is only absolute good or pure evil, and a complete and total inability to self-critique, because, hey, if you're wrong on one thing then you have to be wrong on everything (only absolute good and pure evil, remember), and so you can't possibly be wrong.

16. Quite a few of the women I work with |
|
Every time my supervisor walks around and gets loud, they get as loud as 12 yr olds at a boy band concert. I've dubbed my supervisor as the "walking alarm clock." He's got the type of voice you can easily identify when you hear him. I have no problem with having a little fun while at work. My job gets very tedious at times. But damn, ladies, grow up. Say hello and get back to work.

18. I did things backwards. |
|
When I was a kid I tried to be all mature and stuff. Then I realized I wasn't having any FUN, and I started watching cartoons (Batman TAS, Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain are the best cartoons ever.), chortling at anything that might be taken in a dirty way, and generally being immature.
Since then I've been having a lot more fun.

I'm more worried about those who never left kindergarten. Most of them end up like Britney Spears or ax murderers.
