I LOVE this kid that rides with JackMN in the SpEd van. |

There's a boy who attends JackMN's regular and special-ed preschools who rides home in the same van as Jack. He's about twice the size of Jack, tremendously husky, and very hard to understand (in terms of his speech.) Every time he sees me, he yells, "HEY, MOMMY!" and proceeds to excitedly mumble barely-discernable things to me. Today he told me, "mommy, see it fumb?" He had an invisible wound on his thumb, which was DEVASTATINGLY awful. He told me to "get in back here!" (crawl into the back of the minivan,) so I could see his "fumb" better. He also wanted to know if I had a "batsman an robin" at my house.
He just cracks me the hell up.

7. I just put him down for a nap. |
|
He wanted me to sing "Hit the Road, Jack," (he's still on a Ray Charles kick,) so I changed the words to: "Hit the bed, Jack, and don't you get up no more, no more, no more, no more," etc. Now he's banging on the wall and yelling, "Jack! Jack!"

6. I love special kids.... |
|
make a bit of a living from caring for them. They are honest and straight forward with their emotions. And they crack me up too. I can't tell you how many band aids I have put on those invisible booboos. Seems to work though.
