Could someone who knows more about slang help me. On a Ford truck ad Toby Keith

refers to himself as a "Dog Daddy." I don't think he is saying he has mated with a canine. Anyone know what it means?

According to wikipedia (grain of salt filter recommended), "the title of the album was inspired when Keith first saw the new Ford F-450 exclaiming, 'Now that is a big dog daddy!'"

Since 'big dog' and 'big daddy' are both euphemisms for things that are really large, I assume that a big dog daddy is something so huge that it becomes a combination of the two. Or, it's a dog that's bigger than the big dog - hence the big dog's father (similar to "mother of all battles").

Whatever he means by it, leaving the "big" off leads to some unfortunate connotations...)

13. Man, They're advertising the F-450 on TV?

I can remember a time when they didn't advertise those kinds of heavy duty pickups to the general public. They were originally built for commercial purposes, and were mostly advertised in trade rags. To get one back then, you either had to go to a dealership that specialized in commercial sales or have your local dealer special order one for you. You generally didn't see F-450s on the lot at your local dealer.

Hell, when I was younger, the only person I knew who had an F-450 was our wood shop teacher in high school who raised draught horses as a hobby. He needed that big pickup truck to haul those big horses to shows across the Midwest over the summer. All the other F-450s I knew of were owned by businesses.
