Two questions for the lounge!
1. What were you doing on January 20, 2001? We'll just say it was DU's birthday and leave it at that.
2. What do you expect to be doing on January 20, 2005?
My answers:
1. My girlfriend (now my wife) and I escaped to the northern reaches of LP Michigan so we didn't have to watch or hear about * getting sworn in.
2. Bouncin' off the ceiling, baby!!! The regime will be over!!! :bounce:

In Washington DC, I was at the Inauguration Day protests in 2001. I got up at 5 am to broad a bus to DC, stood outside for 8 hours in a freezing cold rain in a "first amendment zone" to protest the stolen selection.
On Inauguration Day 2005 I hope to be at one of the many Democratic victory parties, as we drink to the fall of the Boy King.

but we had a sudden 6" of snow and I couldn't get up my hill. I burst into tears when I saw Al Gore appear on the TV. I couldn't bring myself to watch that THING being installed as President.
I certainly hope and pray that we'll be watching one of the good guys being inaugurated next year. Maybe I'll even cut classes and drive down for that! I went to Clinton's first inaugural - what a blast!
