Anyone know anything about gas convection ovens? |
|
My oven just bit the dust, and I am browsing what's out there now. There's one oven I like that's offered either as a regular gas oven or a convection gas oven. I have no idea if I really want this feature. Any advice?

1. Are you able to turn off the convection on it at all? |
|
I have an electric convection oven. They take some getting used to. For baked goods, I turn off the convection fan, otherwise my cakes are flat.

2. I appreciate your guidance! |

Based on your input, I decided to skip the convection feature. A regular old oven works great for me, and now I will have one that's stainless. Yippee!
Thanks!

5. Can you change your order? I've used gas and electric... |
|
convection ovens and love the reduced cooking time and more even heat with lots of stuff. like roasts. I haven't had too much trouble with baked goods, but different ovens have different charasteristics.
I'd say better to have the capability than not, but be able to turn the fan off.
