I've got Rick Astley's song, "Never Gonna Say Goodbye" running through my head and I can feel my brain cells starting to melt.

Remember this guy?

Artist: Sister Sledge

(CHORUS:)
We are family
I got all my sisters with me
We are family
Get up ev'rybody and sing

Ev'ryone can see we're together
As we walk on by
(FLY!) and we fly just like birds of a feather
I won't tell no lie
(ALL!) all of the people around us they say
Can they be that close
Just let me state for the record
We're giving love in a family dose

(CHORUS x2)

Living life is fun and we've just begun
To get our share of the world's delights
(HIGH!) high hopes we have for the future
And our goal's in sight
(WE!) no we don't get depressed
Here's what we call our golden rule
Have faith in you and the things you do
You won't go wrong
This is our family Jewel

(REPEAT CHORUS TO FADE)

That song came out while I was an exchange student in New Zealand. Many, many emotions, including the ridicule by my host family over Jimmy Carter's accent. Lord!

"Do you remember Rick Astley?
He had a big fat hit that was ghastly.
He said I’m never gonna give you up or let you down.
Well I’m here to tell ya that Dick’s a clown
Though he was just a boy when he made that vow.
I’d bet it all that he knows by now
that All Men, All Men are liars their words ain’t worth no more than worn out tires.
Hey Girls, bring rusty pliers to pull this tooth, all men are liars and that’s the truth. "

19. Ok--here ya go. This will boot that ear worm RIGHT on out of your head!
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald:

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy.

With a load of iron ore - 26,000 tons more
Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty
That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed
When the gales of November came early

The ship was the pride of the American side
Coming back from some mill in Wisconson
As the big freighters go it was bigger than most
With a crew and the Captain well seasoned.

Concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms
When they left fully loaded for Cleveland
And later that night when the ships bell rang
Could it be the North Wind they'd been feeling.

The wind in the wires made a tattletale sound
And a wave broke over the railing
And every man knew, as the Captain did, too,
T'was the witch of November come stealing.

The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait
When the gales of November came slashing
When afternoon came it was freezing rain
In the face of a hurricane West Wind

When supper time came the old cook came on deck
Saying fellows it's too rough to feed ya
At 7PM a main hatchway caved in
He said fellas it's been good to know ya.

The Captain wired in he had water coming in
And the good ship and crew was in peril
And later that night when his lights went out of sight
Came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Does anyone know where the love of God goes
When the words turn the minutes to hours
The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay
If they'd fifteen more miles behind her...

Oh lord, I have got to stop it right here right NOW. Do you have ANY idea how many freaking verses there ARE to this song? It just goes on and ON and it never stops. And you get it stuck in your head and it just won't go away.

"The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy...
"

Damn. Now I have it stuck in MY head again!

59. Shotgun shells are expensive - this song score from 'Sweden, Heaven and Hell' will cure your earworm
"Mah Nà Mah Nà" was a well-known pop music song, written by Piero Umiliani. It was a hit in many countries, including the USA, in 1968–1969.

It originally debuted as part of Piero Umiliani's music score from an Italian softcore pornographic movie, Svezia, Inferno e Paradiso (Sweden, Heaven and Hell) (1968).

Enjoy.

Nether Regions!

At least you've gotten rid of Astley but now I must call my sister, one year younger, to relive the memories. We have a fairly huge dance/poetry/song/ repetoire based on "Mah Na Mah Nah." Forgive me for omitting the accents... errr, graves? Curses to you, marzipanni.
