Recommended free movie: "Salt of the Earth"

The only blacklisted film. A moving and inspiring re-enactment of an actual strike at a zinc mine in New Mexico. Labor, civil rights and feminist themes made this film way ahead of its time (1954). I have watched this film and I recommend it to all DUers. The copyright was not renewed when it expired in 1982, so this film is now in the public domain and can be watched for free:

full production values, this is it. The production values (and especially the sound quality) are deficient, though the story still gets through.
