Robert Plant and Alison Krauss to tour in 2008. |
|
Just read that Plant told Rolling Stone that he and Krauss are going to tour to promote their new album. Supposedly, the set will include Zeppelin tunes like "Black Dog" and "When The Levee Breaks."

Well I knew that anyways!!
That's why they're so mum with the LZ reunion tour, Plant has commitments to touring with Alison Krauss. I believe this will be over by springtime and then hopefully you'll see LZ touring in the summer.
Edit note:
Page is rearranging all the LZ music because of the changes in Plant's voice. Seems he can't hit thoseu high notes the way he use to

2. I didn't know there WAS a Zep reunion tour. |
|
Aren't they doing just one show (which was already rescheduled because Page broke his finger)?

3. There have been several comments by Page that the tour will happen |
|
Page pretty much said that a tour would happen in his Guitar World interview (mentioned that it was selfish for the band to be available for just one show).
The only one not free right now is Plant, with his collaborative album with Allison Krauss. I think once his first tour is over that the LZ tour could happen. LZ is more of a summer tour where the big outdoor stadiums are available

to listen to that CD and possibly buy it.
I did not like it at all. Not one bit.
I did not buy it.
Which was dissapointing. I like Led Zeppelin and I like Allison Kraus. Together, not so much.

5. I think what shocks people who enjoy LZ is that this is a far cry.... |
|
...from anything ever done by Robert Plant (and from what a friend who is an Allison Krauss fan - what she has ever done).
You can't buy this album expecting to hear Robert Plant. He had to learn harmonies and tone down his "baby baby baby" style of singing (although I did here a few "babies" throughout the CD)
It's a wonderful CD and I expect that it'll garner a few Emmy nominations. I look forward to the Plant/Krauss tour

6. I went into it, with no expectations... |
|
What I heard was completely unexpected and very dissapointing. I expected something better from the two.

There are about three or four songs I like on the disque. My pallet didn't care for the rest.

I was never a fan of Plant, but loved this record. I heard that producer T-Bone Burnett might head out with them too.
