4. well, not to mention that our 2nd string QB still performed pretty fucking well against them |
|
it wasn't a total humiliation like what we did to the Vikings (hahahahah and we didn't have to injure anyone to do it). Shame that the 2 teams we lost to are Dallas and Chicago but our record is still great. I personally think Green Bay is really America's team. I've said it before and I'll say it again, how can you not love the unlikelihood of a small town team?

The Packers are the ONLY team not owned by a corporation or filthy rich asshole, who makes demands on the cities they are in, "Build us what *WE* want or we'll throw a hissy fit!"
This is truly what it means to be "America's team," not the over-hyped rich welfare whiners.

16. and they've sold out every game for over 40 years |

with a season ticket waiting list of over 75,000 people. People getting tickets this year have been waiting since 1970. If you sign up now, your grandkids might get tickets.
the Packers arent just football, its a religion.

They didn't play a shitty game they just got beat by a team who played a better game. And you know, crybaby losers are a lot more likable than poor winners. Did you see us lording it over the Vikings when we shut them out? It's called being gracious and one of the cool things about the people around here, we're kind.

8. Sorry, but all the crying about cheap shots, bad calls, and unsportsmanlike conduct |
|
by the Cowboys by the packers fans here had to commented upon.
BTW, the pack did play well, and their backup qb played really well.

10. I made no such comments |
|
I didn't say that you deliberately hurt Favre it was sort of a rhetorical comment. We were outplayed even before Favre got hurt but nobody performed miserably.

7. I was really, really sorry to see Favre go down. |
|
I HATE that that happened. Rodgers looked very impressive, though--whenever Favre retires, you guys have a really great-looking quarterback who's ready to step up, and you should be feeling really good about that.

9. Just confirmed that the new system installed in Green Bay can be... |
|
...operated by any above average QB. Favre was stinking in the game, when he got out of that system. They plugged in Rodgers, and he did fine. Favre has looked good this season, because he was working within the system until this game. In fact, he had been playing rather "Rodgers" like.

13. When he gets his head into "I've got to save the game" mode |
|
Things can get ugly. Still and all, he has the ability to turn nothing into something. And I love the way he plays the game, like a little kid. I'm glad Rodgers is up and coming. It makes me feel better about the future. But I'll take Favre as long as he wants to play. We've been lucky to have a future Hall of Famer like him.

He'll be a good QB for GB.
About half way through the 3rd quarter, I was wishing Favre was back,
I hope that he's okay, I'd hate to see him end his career over this.

17. It was classic football... |
|
Through and through, it was one of the few games that possessed the excitement and drama of the pre-Salary Cap/Free Agency days. It was classic football.
And although I'm a Dallas fan, I'm also the first to admit-- with the exception of the Jets game, I've been forecasting Dallas losses every game they've played for the past two months. Whats more, I'm still not unconvinced that Dallas is merely a paper tiger.
