9. I thought the pacing was imbalanced, (and I HATE that) the casting was

not wonderful, and the resolution was...not much.

Not the Coen bros. best work, I think, in part because it was an adaptation of a novel.

10. I thought the resolution was very satisfying.

I'll be vague so as not to spoil anything, but I think the movie works as it should if you think of it as Ed Tom Bell's story, and not a story of stolen money and killings. In terms of tone, theme and emotional closure, it was a brilliant ending.

We saw Six movies on Six Sundays and graded this as "most disappointing":shrug: .

Not the Coen's best effort by a long shot.
