Ever notice how similar god and santa claus are?
They both watch you all the time (I always found that kinda creepy, even as a kid).
They both know if you've been good or bad and treat you accordingly.
They both live in out-of-the-way places (heaven and the north pole) and have minions (angels and elves).
They both have beards.

:P

2. Hi billy!!!!
:loveya:

I've been SO busy with work and school. Retail during the holiday season and tons of reading and homework make for very little time to play here at DU. :(

I'm actually in my bankruptcy class right now.

:loveya:

I'm doing so well (except that I'm not really paying attention to bankruptcy). Busy as can be but lovin' it! Hope you're doing well these days.

And, yeah, minions is a great word, isn't it? :hi:

9. some MAJOR differences
-santa claus isn't used as the justification for genocide

-santa claus is pretty consistent. you can know what he is about: he gives toys to good kids. god is more sketchy and malleable. who he is depends on the whim of the believer

12. They both have all these *rules*

"Be good," which is rather vague.

"Don't grovel!" "Don't apologise!" "Knock it off!" "Seek the Holy Grail!"

15. my God!
doesn't exist in human form
doesn't have a beard, and yet he does, or she does or he doesn't or she doesn't

Santa is more consistently there in a form that I can comprehend :P

17. They both use aliases.
God. Yahweh. Jehova.

Santa Claus. Kris Kringle. St. Nicklaus.

Damned suspicious, if you ask me. Who are they hiding from?

God had a child but Santa did not. What's going on with the Claus couple?

Yet God isn't married and Santa is. Oh dear...
