I spoke with a friend who lives in Cross Plains (outside Madison) today and he said it was getting pretty ugly. I'm sure it's hella worse now.

Sounds like fun! There's a certain cool excitement to being stranded (and power outages fall in this category, too) that I like. It's like a gift from God saying "Dude, you need to relax, so here's a situation in which you have absolutely no other option but to hang loose and chill".
