Who has ever been 'Screwed' out of a family Will/Inheritance
My real fathers, and one of my grandmas
My father married a witch and a year later he died of colon cancer, she had changed the will
a week before he died, we found that out years later.
My grandmas estate was going to go to us equally, but my brother in-law and sister took the
stocks and bonds while she was still alive, and he 'snorted' that up his nose.
We also found that out years later............... :hi:

1. My husband.
His mother promised him that their house, worth approximately $600,000 was in both his and his sister's name.

Turns out, it was only in his sister's name to keep the 'nursing home' from getting all the money; she was supposed to take care of my FIL. She abused him and we ended up having to bring him to live here.

He passed in 2006 and she got all the money in the accounts and we got the bill for the funeral.

2. My father died without a will.
He was 51 and did not see it coming. His second wife got the 33 acre tree farm and both trucks. Her idiot kid wrecked both vehicles.

My step-sister somehow finagled her way into being executor of my mom and stepfather's estate. She sold one very nice car cheap to her cousin, but gave me a real hard time buying the house (no discount, not even the amount a realtor would charge if she'd had to list it on the market, or the amount that would have to be spent to get it ready to list) and a bunch of other BS saying she wanted to do everything "according to their wishes" as long as it was to her benefit, or my idiot stepbrother -- both of whom managed to marry productive members of society, and thus were very well off already. Typical Republican morans.

THEN we discovered that my mom had a bank account in just her name (money from my grandfather's estate) and that this money was earmarked to go to just my sister and me, and NOT the steps. Boy, you never heard such whining about how that should be split four ways, and how it wasn't fair, and on and on and on -- I just said "well, we want to do everything according to their wishes, right?" It wasn't a huge amount of money, but a tidy little sum that at least got me out of debt and helped me set up housekeeping. Almost makes up for the way the wicked step-sister treated us during the process. Thanks mom! :)

5. My (not so) Great Aunt left a couple of mil
But my mom's brothers and sisters divided it all up and made sure my brothers and I were screwed out of the money. My mom passed away several years ago--but I felt we should have split up her share. Oh well, what would I have done with the money anyway (he says sarcastically)?
