I'm off to Monterey Bay for the next four days, on business. Then one extra day to go up to Santa Cruz to surf Cowell's Cove. Yes I do know that's where the "Barney's" surf, and yes I do suck.

I love that area. SC is a day trip from here, Monterey a bit longer. If you have an expense account for dining and you like fish, I recommend Passionfish in Pacific Grove. Excellent food and mostly local (NorCal) fish.

6. That's why I did not leave yesterday

I was going to get there a day early to surf Cowell's, but I did not want to die. Now I've moved my "play date" to Monday and hopefully more gentle waves.
I may meet Shine for coffee Tuesday morning before heading south. She mentioned that you were in or near SC How about having a bite Monday evening somewhere cheap?
