Why I dislike watching "Married with Children"

1. I always hated that show

I don't know why exactly. It's no different than a lot of shows on today. Dumbass husband, obnoxious kids. Wacko neighbors.

2. The early years were fairly decent

Steve and Marcie were normal...

Season 4 changed everything... Steve became wacky, left the show, Marcie then gets re-married to the type of person she'd otherwise hate...

3. It was just plain mean.

There's enough meanness in the world without glorifying it.

4. I can agree that it was mean;

but the earlier episodes seemed to be more satire than being just outright mean. But, yeah, at one point things did get _bad_ and never quite got any better...

6. I've never liked mean humor.

People look at me like I'm nuts when I say I never enjoyed the Three Stooges, Don Rickles or All in the Family or any other supposed 'comedy' that used humiliation as it's basis.

5. You know you're drunk

when you start thinking "Married with Children" is funny.
