:eyes:

Got up to at least 80 with 85% humidity. I'm so in the Holiday Spirit. :-|

1. I had to click on your profile
To see if you lived here in Florida.

You have my sympathies.

With the same predicted for all next week. Nice breeze now, though.

It's amazing how quickly my body has adjusted to the teens and buttloads of snow (long undies and a Land's End parka DO help though!).

This may be my first white Christmas! :woohoo:

Miss you guys. :hi:

6. Just wait. THIS is not buttloads of snow.
In December of 2000 we had a total of 33 inches. That was brutal.

We had storms that were dumping 12 inches at a time. When you have nowhere else to put the snow because the banks are 47 feet tall, then it's buttloads.

White Christmases are nice, but the snow loses its "charm" by mid-January yet sometimes keeps coming into March. Welcome to WI! :)

22. My next door neighbor...
Edited on Sun Dec-09-07 03:49 PM by fudge stripe cookays
was telling me about that Friday night. She snowblew my driveway the other day! I LOVE her!

At least, it looks like the house will close on the 20th! :woohoo: With reprehensor up here with me, I'll be able to cope better, and he will know what to do with all this stuff.

I figure by January I'll be a little tired of it, yeah. But the novelty hasn't worn off yet.

If all goes well with my account manager tomorrow, I may not be in Waukesha much longer. This neoconservative asshole I have to work for is making it REALLY hard. Republicans I can handle. Republicans who bash everything I believe in with just about everything out of their mouths in a professional workplace setting (and sit on the other side of a cube from me) are a completely different story.

I am so happy that you and your husband will be together again soon!!

We should get together soon. It was a rough weekend for me; my transmission blew on Friday night. :( It's in the shop awaiting diagnosis. I have a rental for the time being. I am exactly 738 miles over my 100k warranty. :(

27. Oh GOD.
I am so sorry! I went through the transmission thing with my Nissan Stanza about 91, I think. $1400 big ones.

I hope your luck is a little better...but outside of warranty it's not real likely. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

32. Well.. I just bought a new car.
Edited on Mon Dec-10-07 02:20 PM by PeaceNikki
YAY! and BOO!!

It looks like this:

They were saying $2600 to fix it and it's worth about $1k if it were in perfect working order.

They refused to cover under warranty. They said they'd submit it for consideration as a "good will" reimbursement. However, that would take up to a week to determine if they'd cover all, part or none. Even if they covered half, that's a lot of bones to throw down on a car that's got 100k miles on it.

So, I get a new warranty. And a new payment. <<<sigh>>>

That close for something so major can get you some slack from the manufacturer. Worth a try for sure. Good luck, and sorry to hear about the tranny. :(

36. Thanks.
When I was trying to get them to cover warranty, I told them that if they didn't cover it, I'd buy new and NOT from them. I ended up doing just that. Though to be honest, it was their lack of incentives/rebates that really sent me to Chevy.

I appreciate the well wishes.

It was funny because Nashville was 15 degrees cooler due to a front sitting there. No A/C needed, it was pleasent with the windows open.

38. Snowing in southwestern NM
Not sticking yet but warnings of up to five inches by tomorrow morning. I'm not a happy camper - Mr. D. has cataract surgery tomorrow, has to be at the hospital at 6:30 am and I have to drive him home. After 39 years of winters in Georgia, now living at the edge of the mountains on what may be the world's worst road (rutted, full of boulders, in some places you have to decide whether you're going to drive over the boulder or through the gully), I'm nervous about tomorrow. Love snow when I can stay by the fire and watch, don't like it when I have to drive in it. Wish us luck.
