7. Yes, the Aussies figured this out post WWII when they decided...

once and for all to end ritual cannibilism among south sea islanders. At the time, it was young boys being fed the brains of loved elders (who were dead!) hence increasing the risk of prion disease.

Also found, however, in some groups of rural kentuckians among whom eating squirrel brains are a delicacy.
